We will provide Guitar Hero World Tour Guitars (with the neck strum feature) for the auditions. You may bring your own guitar and Nintendo Wii remote if you wish and we will sync it right before the audition. For the Auditions, every student will play the same exact song (The Middle by Jimmy Eat World). There will be 3 stations setup and you will play the audition song in front of an official AV Club Guitar Hero judge. At the end of the song, your score will be recorded. The top 16 scorers, tallied from ALL of the auditions, will advance to the finals on Friday, March 27th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. If you audition, you MUST be available on Friday in case you advance to the finals. This is a free event for the top 16. The Championship will consist of a bracket, setup much like the NCAA March Madness Sweet 16 bracket. Each student will be seeded based on their audition score. This is a single elimination championship, meaning if you lose once, you are out of the competition. In the first round their will be 8 songs. Two students will battle at a time using the Pro-Face Off mode. The student who wins will move on to the next round. We will use the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero World Tour for the championships. There will be CASH prizes for the top 4 scorers. There will also be Nintendo Wii Sports and Nintendo Wii Mario Kart games available for students to play throughout the night in various rooms. Good Luck and be sure to book mark this page. Get the word out to your friends and tell them all to clear the date. This will be one Rockin' night!
